History of Dungarees:
"Dungarees have been around since 1792, and were predominantly used as a protective garment for slaves, farmers, railroad engineers, mechanics and other blue collar laborers alike. In being cheap, ill-fitting and made of rough, but durable cloth, they carried a stigma to mark the low status of their wearer."
